St. Matthew's University School of Medicine offers students a medical education program focused on patient-centered care. The medical education is integrated with a world-class health care system that provides hospital-based instruction and research. St. Matthew's state-of-the-art campus offers technologically-advanced classrooms, spacious study areas and student lounges, as well as excellent anatomy, histology, microbiology, and clinical skills labs. The Basic Science curriculum culminates in St. Matthew's University's ground-breaking preclinical (5th) semester. The Fundamentals of Clinical Sciences course covers all key areas of Basic Sciences in preparation for the USMLE Step One Exam. There is no better course available to prepare for USMLE Step One.

After five semesters of studying the basic sciences on Grand Cayman, our students can "return home" to study the clinical sciences. Clinical rotations are offered in high-quality teaching hospitals throughout the U.S., Canada, and Britain, including numerous sites in New York, Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Maryland and multiple other states. St. Matthew's students stand shoulder-to-shoulder in clinical rotations with students from medical schools in the U.S., U.K., and Canada
